What should I buy while in Fethiye ? This is a much asked question. Leatherware, Kilims and Carpets, Silver and Gold, and of course real cotton clothing.

There are several markets in Fethiye every week. The main market takes place every Tuesday. There is a large colourful vegetable and fruit section, worth photographing even if you do not intend to buy. Most visitors continue on to the clothing and hardware sections, and and buy some bargains to take home as presents. The Market is as large as it is varied. You may decide to make a day of it and have lunch in the market. Feeling hot and hungry you can watch the activity around you,sitting comfortably in cane-chairs, sampling the local speciality ‘gozleme’.
